400 Or so… (Day 19)

Writing Challenge Day 19: Today is a free writing day. Write at least four-hundred words, and once you start typing, don’t stop. No self-editing, no trash-talking, and no second guessing: just go. Bonus points if you tackle an idea you’ve been playing with but think is too silly to post about.

Free writing not my favorite thing to do… I like to have an idea in mind before I start writing or at least some kind of structure. I don’t like to flush out random thoughts onto paper unless it’s related to the topic but, anywho here goes 400 words…the trick is not to look at the number count or you’ll end up just filling the post with words and not actually writing. That’s just my opinion.

I don’t think I have stated this earlier but, this post is part of a writing challenge which is about to end pretty soon. I decided to take up this month-long challenge to get myself into the rhythm of writing, to improve my writing and of course it suited so perfectly to my blog because I specialise in random postings, my blog isn’t about cupcakes, unicorns, futuristic developmental stage gadgets I’ll never own or fashion, my posts are not driven to a single atmosphere of one topic. It’s completely random and that’s what makes it fun. It gets boring when a large number of blogs circulate around food and fashion, the internet needs variety, but then again, how would I be able to make red velvet cakes or natural sugar scrubs?

Anywho, it’s towards the end of this month’s challenge and I hope it improved my blogging skills or writing skills…I’ll let you be the judge.

Speaking of this month ending… another one begins yes; Ramadan is a day away and a whole different kind of challenge of its own. 30 days of fasting and striving to better ourselves from the previous year while achieving the ultimate goal. 🙂

Around 300 words so far… (Sorry I couldn’t help myself!)

I heard that the new currency note will be coming out by Ramadan, and it supposed to have enhanced in its security features to cope with counterfeit, which sounds good. As long as its value is the same and it does its functions right and it gets me a snickers bar when I go to the groceries. Then I guess I’m absolutely fine with it, even though it may turn out to like monopoly notes. I’ll be absolutely fine.

Feel free to wonder around this blog and checkout my earlier posts for this month’s challenge. Thanks for reading. 😀

Hey! Sorry, I should have elaborated about the Ramadan part…
But, in brief, Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, fasting in Ramadan is part of the 5 pillars of Islam so, it is therefore compulsory over every able Muslim to fast in this month from dawn to dusk. It’s not just the abstinence of food but also the abstinence of bad deeds/habits and thoughts. As Muslims we take this opportunity to better ourselves from the previous year. The end of Ramadan is marked with Eid-ul-fitr a one day celebration/holiday which is just fun and awesome. 😀
